Drink-drive arrest after flats crash

A DRIVER who crashed into a block of flats yesterday has been arrested for driving above the alcohol limit and taking a vehicle without permission.

Police, who were notified of the crash on Town Lane, Rockingham, at about 3.30am, said a black Citroen C4 appeared to have crashed into a block of flats.

The driver, a 34-year-old man, was arrested for taking the vehicle without consent and being over the prescribed drink-driving limit, police confirmed.

A male passenger was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious.
