Do you know an unsung hero? Call for nominations as we launch our Community Awards

DO you know somebody who deserves to win one of our community awards?

Incredibly there are around 1,400 voluntary groups operating across the borough and we want to recognise the tremendous work they do.

Most are people who have been volunteering in their spare time, working completely without pay, for decades - and these are the people who make you proud to live here.

That is why, following the success of last year's event which received hundreds of entries, we have launched the Rotherham Advertiser Community Awards 2020.

Over the next ten weeks you will have the chance to nominate the people you believe have gone above and beyond the call of duty in selflessly helping out others. Those you believe deserve an award.

Those making the final shortlist will be celebrated at an awards night in April when the winners of the ten categories will be announced.

THE CATEGORIES:

Fundraiser of the Year Under 18: Do you know an individual or group of people under 18 who have shown incredible dedication or effort in raising money for a charity or good cause in the borough?
