VOLUNTEER WALK 2022: This year’s walk will be on Thursday, June 30,12pm until 2:30pm, Rotherham town centre. Registration will be from 11.45am until 12.15pm The event will be based at the Rotherham Minster and it will be optional to join the walk through the town centre. The event is to say thank you to Rotherham Volunteers. Whether you want to attend on your own, or with a group of volunteers, you will be welcome! We hope you can make it. Rotherham Minster is also open to the public Tuesday to Saturday during the week, and Oasis — 30 minutes of peace and meditation — is held in Rotherham Minster every Tuesday from 1pm. ST JAMES CHURCH: St James Church at Clifton , S65 2AU. Sunday service, June 11. Our Corpus Christi/Taizé service is on Thursday, June 16, 7pm. Following a recent break in which resulted in a lot of damage to various things in the church hall, a concert has been arranged to raise funds for the hall’s repair and refurbishment. Friends In Harmony will host a concert in the church at 7pm, Saturday, June 18. Refreshments will be served and a raffle held. This marks the first concert for Friends In Harmony since the pandemic. Friends in Harmony is a large choir, with a full range of voices, and usually a very busy schedule. Tickets for the concert are £5 and will be available on the night of the concert.

ROTHERFED: Our Energy Know How and Making our Money Go Further teams will be at Treeton Community Centre, Pit Lane, Treeton, S60 5UY, on Friday, June 10, 11am-2pm, for a drop in event for help with bills, energy saving advice, reading/understanding your bill (please bring your current bill), budgeting and money saving ideas. Free refreshments provided. We are also hosting a coffee morning for all Rotherham residents and professionals on Wednesday, June 15, 10am to noon. Everyone is welcome to come along for refreshments, cake and a chat. The event will be held at Springwell Gardens Community Centre S62 1NH. ROTHERHAM SAFE HAVEN: Run completely by volunteers,Safe Haven have been offering the vulnerable and those in need a safe space, food and drink, in Rotherham Town Centre for over five years.
