Disruption to rail and bus services this bank holiday weekend

COMMUTERS have been warned of temporary changes to bus services over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Travel South Yorkshire said buses and Stagecoach Supertram will run a Sunday timetable on Monday, May 29.

Rotherham Central railway station will also be closed and trains will not stop at the station on Saturday and Sunday.

A Network Rail spokesman said the station will close following the last train on Friday (May 26) and re-open for the first train on Monday (May 29) while College Road bridge over the tracks is dismantled and replaced.

Buses will replace trains between Meadowhall, Rotherham Central and Swinton during this time.
