Discarded settees set alight at Thrybergh

TWO fly-tipped settees were set alight at Thrybergh yesterday evening (Monday).

Firefighters from Maltby station were called to Cross Street at 8.15pm.

At the same time, colleagues from Rotherham station dealt with a scooter bike which had been set alight on Brookside, Herringthorpe.

And the Rotherham crew later dealt with a deliberate fire at a derelict flat and shop premises in the town centre.

The blaze was in the doorway of the building on Westgate at 12.15am today, the fire service said.
