Diggers set alight in Wombwell

ARSONISTS attacked building site machinery in Wombwell overnight.

Firefighters from Cudworth station attended John Street Court at around 1.35am, when the vehicles were alight.

Staff left the scene at around 2.15am.

Earlier, at around 12.25am, a crew from Dearne station attended Littlefield Lane in Wombwell.

There they found a burning skip, thought to have been set alight deliberately.

They left the scene around 50 minutes later.
