Ann (71) was walking her labrador collie cross-breed Inka on December 2 when it started playing with another dog.

She said Inka and the other dog then both ran back to her, knocking her to the floor and leaving her injured on the beach.

Thankful Ann now hopes to track down the group who helped her, three of whom she believes are from Rotherham.

“I was sat there on the beach and four amazing people who had seen it happen came to help me,” she said.

“They asked if I wanted to try and stand up but I couldn’t.

“Somebody went to the local cafe, got a chair, sat me on it and they literally carried me off the beach.

“They sat me next to the road so that my husband Neil could come and pick me up and that’s when I remember three men saying they were from Rotherham but I never got their names.”

Ann, was admitted to hospital for an operation on her knee, but is now back at her Filey home.

She said she was still unable to put weight on her leg but was looking forward to Christmas.

“I would just like to thank them for what they did and let them know I am okay and am recovering,” she added.

If you helped Ann on the beach call the Advertiser on 01709 768162 and we will try to put you in touch with her.
