Detectives release CCTV images following disorder

DETECTIVES have issued CCTV images of people they would like to speak to in connection with disorder following a football match involving Rotherham United and Millwall FC.

A number of Millwall fans attempted to gain access to supporters in other parts of the ground after Rotherham scored in the 85th minute of the game at the New York Stadium on February 28.

A police spokeswoman said: “Several stewards were attacked, leading to additional police resources being deployed to restore order. As fans left the ground, there was further disorder.

A 43-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy from Rotherham, and four men from the London area were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information about those pictured, or who holds information about the incident should call 101, quoting incident number 290 of February 28.
