Details released of funeral for Magna boss John Silker

THE FUNERAL of the late Magna boss John Silker will be held in his home city of Liverpool next week.

The keen Liverpool FC fan (pictured) died on Sunday aged 64.

His family have confirmed his funeral will take place on Thursday at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Blundellsands at 12.30pm followed by Cremation at Southport Crematorium. 

A celebration of Mr Silker’s life will follow at Formby Hall Golf Resort.

Anyone who would like to pay their respects and attend the funeral is invited to do so.

A memorial service will take place in Rotherham at a later date where any donations made will go to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
