A DELIVERY man suffered a violent assault at the hands of three men in Canklow.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was delivering a takeaway on Castle Avenue, close to Canklow Road, when he was attacked by the group of unknown men at around 11pm on Friday, April 9, police said.

The victim was punched and kicked during the attack and was left incredibly shaken, added the spokeswoman. 

"CCTV footage has been reviewed as part of the investigation, but officers are also keen to hear from anyone who might have seen what happened or knows who the attackers may be," she added.

"The victim described his attackers as being three white men in their late 20s. Two of the men were wearing masks, whilst the other is reported to have been 6ft with a beard."
