Deliberate fire at Eastwood flats building
A COMMUNAL area of a flats building was deliberately set alight in the early hours of Sunday.
Fire crews spent half an hour dealing with the small ground floor blaze at Grey Close, Eastwood, after being called at about 12.30am.
An hour earlier, crews dealt with a fire in one of the flats at Swallownest Court, a residential home for mental health patients, on Aughton Road in Swallownest.
And on Sunday night, firefighters from Aston Park station were called to a large amount of wood on alight in Treeton.
The incident, on Wood Lane, was recorded as accidental.
