Deep freeze grips Rotherham as mercury dips to -6.5C
IT always pays to wrap up warm when Jack Frost bites, and this Highland cow near Scholes seemed happy enuough braving the big freeze today.
Temperatures plunged well below freezing on Wednesday night and commuters reported readings as low as -6.5 deg C on their way to work.
There was even a dusting of snow in some areas, and there could be more on the way, with light snow showers forcecast for lunchtime tomorrow.
