POLICE have seized a motor-cycle belonging to a nuisance biker that had been plaguing a town with his reckless riding.

Conisbrough Safer Neighbourhood Team confiscated the vehicle after a community support officer spotted the bike riding very close to the centre white line of the road and nearly hitting a car on Garden Lane, Conisbrough.

Checks to police records revealed that the motor-cycle’s owner had already received a previous warning for driving in a dangerous manner.

Officers later went to the registered keeper’s address and the bike was seized from the 17-year-old owner under the Police Reform Act.

PSCO Sam Pidgeon said: “This bike was a complete nuisance to residents in the area, with many concerned for their safety because of the dangerous manner it was ridden.

“The seizure of this bike should act as a warning to others who choose to own and ride bikes illegally, that they will be caught and their bikes confiscated.”
