Dance teachers leave the floor after 25 years
Jean and Alan Hopkinson retire

A PAIR of popular dance teachers who have taught fine footwork to dozen of students all all ages bade farewell to the group they have been leading for 25 years.

More than 60 dance group members attended the send-off for Jean and Alan Hopkinson at the Ruddle Centre in Braithwell.

The event included a bring-and-share tea, a raffle and presentation to Jean and Alan husband Alan.

Group member Jayne Spaven said: “Jean will continue to teach dance at Holiday Fellowship events, as well running her team of Heartsease Dancers.

“She is a well-respected teacher nationally and the Monday group will miss her enthusiasm and patience, but obviously wish her well for a well-earned rest”
