Dad 'nicks' policeman for dangerous parking

The errant officer left his patrol car in a keep clear zone outside Thorpe Hesley Junior School, where it was photographed by Kevin Leach as he dropped off his young son.

He said: “The policeman was marching up and down, strutting his authority in an attempt to ensure the rules of the law were being followed by parking motorists.

“But he contradicted himself by parking directly in a keep clear zone. You can see the passing car actually moving over the centre line as a result of this.

Insp Abdul Aziz added: “The officer was outside the school carrying out police duties.

“However, this was not an emergency or a 999 call and in this situation there is no excuse for parking and leaving the vehicle in this way.

“The officer, who admitted and accepted that their actions were unacceptable, has been disciplined for this matter.”
