Cyclist badly hurt in Rotherham collision

A CYCLIST suffered serious chest and leg injuries after colliding with a van.

It is thought the 49-year-old man rode through some gravel, causing him to travel onto the opposite side of the road.

He had been with a group of cyclists on Green Lane in Wath shortly after 11.30am on Saturday.

Witnesses are asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident 584 of September 8.
