Crochet cap for post box as yarn bomber strikes in Thurcroft

The pillar box “cosy”, which has popped up in Thurcroft, features a snail, a bee and flowers on a carpet of green.

Its creator has not yet been identified, but the pillar box was also decorated with a poetic note signed by “The Crochet Imp”, which reads:

“As a village, we have pulled together to go the extra mile,

“This is my little contribution to try and make you smile,

"May our Thurcroft spirit continue long after lockdown ends,

"May we go from polite neighbours to a community of friends."
