Crash victim cut from wreckage

FIREFIGHTERS cut a woman in her 20s from a vehicle following a collision last night.

Crews from Rotherham fire station were called into action shortly before midnight following the collision on Spinneyfield, Broom, which involved a Renault Clio and a Volkswagen Golf.

Paramedics stood by as the woman was cut free from a Renault Clio hatchback.

She was transported to Rotherham Hospital by ambulance.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “The extent of her injuries was not clear, but the woman, in her 20s, was transported to hospital as a precaution.”
