Coversure chips in £850 for Pakistani flood victims

A ROTHERHAM insurance business has supported the Pakistan flood appeal with a donation of £850.

Coversure, owned by Javed Akhter, backed Rotherham-based charity WorldAid’s “Pakistan Flood Appeal” by donating £850.

Mr Ahkter said: “The reason for choosing WorldAid was because 100 per cent of funds raised for the floods will be utilised directly to help the victims.

“It is a unique small charity that does not deduct any form of administration costs and operates on a voluntary basis which is what charities should all be about.”

WorldAid volunteers will be heading off on a relief mission to help the Pakistan flood victims at grassroots level in October.
