Court date set for hit and run accused
A MOTORIST accused of a hit and run which left a man injured has appeared in court.
Zeeshan Baig (24), of Eldon Road, Rotherham, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident which caused an injury to another person.
He was said to be driving a Toyota Yaris on Station Road, Rotherham, on September 21 last year when he was involved in an accident which left Peter Bailey injured.
Baig did not enter a plea to the charges and he was released on unconditional bail to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on August 13.
