Councillors approve move to tighten rules on sex entertainment venues

A MOVE to regulate sex entertainment venues more tightly has been approved by councillors.

Public consultation showed support for the idea, which will add more rules for venues like lapdancing clubs.

And the chamber voted the same way during yesterday's (Wednesday) full council meeting.

RMBC licensing chairman Cllr Sue Ellis said: “This will allow for conditions to support the welfare of workers in the industry, and to outlaw certain practices that have been allowed.”
