Coronavirus: Rotherham Police warn of "phishing" email scam
FRAUDSTERS have been trying to con people out of cash by offering coronavirus case information, police have revealed.
The “phishing” emails say the recipient can discover who is infected or claim to diagnose symptoms online.
PC Roy Pittendrigh, Rotherham North, said: “They then ask for payment for the information. Don’t be fooled by the scammers.
“Please pass this information on to vulnerable relatives and members of your community and stick to NHS advice regarding the virus."
