Coronavirus: Rotherham Hospital enforces new visitor restrictions

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Rotherham Hospital, said: "As a precaution, and to help protect our patients, their families and our staff, we will be further restricting visiting at Rotherham Hospital from Monday, March 23.

"From Monday, there will be no visitors allowed. The only exceptions to this are:

  • One birthing partner
  • One visitor per child patient
  • One visitor for patients with dementia
  • One visitor for end of life patients

"If you are attending an appointment or the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre, you should attend by yourself where possible, or with a maximum of one person with you."

The move comes after the hospital had already cut down visitor numbers last week
