For those in isolation or unable to attend a service, the crematorium has webcasting facilities. so those people can view the funeral online.

"We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our families, clients and staff, whilst also adhering to the Government's directive surrounding social distancing," added Ms Cook.

"Therefore, we will be limiting the number of mourners entering the chapel to 25 people."

Ms Cook said: "We appreciate it's an extremely difficult time for everyone, not least those who have lost a loved one - but strongly encourage everyone to follow the Government's advice.

"Rotherham Crematorium has the facility to provide webcasting, which will enable those who are self-isolating or in the vulnerable category to view the funeral service online rather than attending the crematorium," she added.

"We would strongly recommend this option is taken wherever possible, and to make it more affordable, we have reduced our fee to £25 per funeral."
