NIKE has closed its Parkgate branch for two weeks as a precaution against coronavirus — but it's "business as usual" at the retail park's other stores .

The sportswear giant announced the global closure yesterday and said it would continue until March 27.

Parkgate Shopping manager Janet Drury said today: "The current policy is business as usual and we are operating in accordance with current Government advice."

She added: "The Nike shop has closed for two weeks, which was a worldwide decision by their business.

"Customers need to follow the Government advice as their personal circumstances will differ."

Meadowhall has advised shoppers to contact individual stores before setting off.
