Cops investigating incident involving woman in Mexborough

The video posted on Facebook shows a woman in a green jacket walking on to the road at Bank Street, near Natwest, and blocking a BMW on Wednesday night.

Bystanders can be heard laughing as she stands in front of the car and then lies on the bonnet. The BMW appears to drive off but the woman then blocks the path of a metallic blue car.

The woman lifts the windscreen wipers of the car up and the man gets out of the car to remonstrate with her. Bystanders then intervene as the altercation between the man and the woman becomes physical. 

After the woman is led away, she returns to the car and appears to slam and kick the car door into the driver.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police confirmed they were aware of the video.

“We received a call at around 8pm on Wednesday, November 7 about an incident on Bank Street in Mexborough," said the spokeswoman.

“Investigations are currently ongoing.”
