Community observes Ramadan traditions at Rotherham mosque

FASTING Muslims invited members of other communities to join them to observe the traditions of Ramadan.

Dr Mohsin Ditta, Iftigar Ahmed and Imam Maysara of the Moorgate Street Mosque hosted a community iftar at which they broke their daily fast with non-Muslim guests.

During the holy month of Ramadhan, members of Rotherham’s Muslim community have been fasting from before dawn until sunset — around 18 hours a day abstaining from food and drink.
