Community centre faces the axe
A DERELICT Rotherham community building is likely to be knocked down and the site sold off.
Rotherham councillors will be told at a meeting on Monday that the March Flatts Community Centre in Thrybergh has been vandalised after standing empty for more than a year.
There are five other community centres in the area.
The single-storey wooden building was handed back to Rotherham Borough Council after a long-term lease fell through and is now empty while its future is decided.
Neighbours have been consulted about the loss of the building.
