Det Insp Scott Szymczak said: “My team constantly look for opportunities to disrupt organised crime across Rotherham, particularly around the distribution of drugs which often has links to violent crime.

“Residents across the town continuously tell us that they want to see us taking action to tackle drugs, and I would like to assure people that we do act on any information passed to us.

"On this occasion, a quantity of suspected class A with an estimated street value of £3,000 has been taken off our streets, which is an excellent result.

“I encourage anyone with concerns about drugs supply to get in touch either via 101, via their local neighbourhood team, or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously."
