Kaiden (8) of Kimberworth Park drew a picture of Santa with a sack full of presents on top of a snow-covered roof.

He beat off strong competition to be named this year’s winner and received 50 printed copies of his card to send to his family and friends.

Advertiser editor Andrew Mosley had the tough job of choosing this year’s winner and was impressed with Kaiden’s efforts.

He said: “The standard of entries this year was exceptional, probably better than ever before, which made choosing a winner really difficult.

“Eventually, after much deliberation, we chose Kaiden’s entry due to the sheer effort he has obviously put in.

“His card is bright, nicely coloured in, he’s put a cracker in the middle and it’s really festive.

“Hopefully it will make Christmas extra special for everyone he sends a card to.”

A big well done from Captain Jack to everyone who submitted an entry this year.
