Child sex abuse trial: Shelley Davies and Majid Bostan will not give evidence

TWO defendants in the Rotherham child sexual exploitation trial will not take to the stand to give evidence or call any evidence to support their not guilty pleas.

The jury was told today by lawyers representing Shelley Davies and Majid Bostan that their clients have chosen not to give evidence or call any evidence.

Majid Bostan (37), of Ledsham Road, Broom, has been charged with indecently assaulting a girl under 16 in Rotherham between 1990 and 1995.

Shelley Davies (40), of Wainwright Road, Kimberworth Park, is charged with conspiracy to procure a woman to become a common prostitute and false imprisonment between 1993 and 1995.

The trial continues.
