A KIND-hearted takeaway owner will dish out hot meals to the homeless again next week — and on Christmas Day.

Zaheer Ahmed, owner of Chicken Express on Westgate, Rotherham, has teamed up with charities Shiloh, Ilhaam, Rotherham RIVO and Rotherham’s street kitchens to give out 200 meals to homeless and vulnerable people on Tuesday.

He has already handed 150 meal tokens to the charities and another 50 meals will available on Tuesday to homeless people who attend the takeaway between 7pm and 8pm.

The generous businessman will also open his takeaway to homeless people on Christmas Day between 3pm and 4pm.

Last month, Mr Ahmed provided freshly-prepared food, including chicken, chips and kebabs, as well as hot and cold drinks to 90 people.

After the success of his first event he is now considering making it a regular fixture.
