Debra Roe and Angela Watson started walking the 267-mile Pennine Way on Sunday (10) and hope to make it to the other end within three weeks.

Their massive hike from Scotland to Edale in Derbyshire is in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK.

Debra and Angela, from Greasbrough and Broom respectively, have both seen members of their family touched by the devastating disease.

In a message on their JustGiving page, the pair said: “ We hope that through our own personal challenge we will be giving hope through the power of research to help this vulnerable group of people.

“Any donations you are able to make would be greatly appreciated and help spur us on when the going gets tough on the walk.”
