The team of ten bedpushers left the Cavalier at 10.30am, and took in an eight-mile route through Bramley, Wickerlsey and Brecks as temperatures soared.

Janet Collins said: “We had quite a few people pulling up and donating. A nice guy pulled up and donated ice pops.”

The bed push ended back at the pub where there was a fun day taking place which saw 12 bands perform.

Janet added: “As part of the fundraising, two guys from the pub also did a sponsored yomp — an 80-mile walk from North Yorkshire.

“They set off on Thursday morning and arrived at the pub on Saturday morning.”
