Chance to win paw-some prizes in pageant hopeful's online charity dog show

A PAGEANT finalist is asking pet lovers to put forward their own “best in show” after launching her own paw-some photo competition.

Ashleigh Russell (28, pictured), who will represent Rotherham at the Ms Galaxy UK pageant in November, is out to raise money for The Christie Charity, which supports cancer sufferers.

She said: “A large part of pageantry is using our platforms as contestants to raise money for good causes.

“One of the events that I'm doing is an online pet photo competition to raise money for The Christie Charity because of all the great work they do.

“It’s a fun way to raise some money and everyone likes to see pictures of people’s pets.”

Ashleigh, who was selected as Ms Rotherham Galaxy in May, said all pets were welcome, from dogs to snakes and everything in between, and the contest would see prize winners named in each category, as well as a “best in show” winner.

Entry is £5 per pet and prizes include a £30 gift card for Farm & Pet Place and an A3 print for the winning pet.
