FILM fans will have the chance to meet and quiz the director of one the year’s most bizarre British comedies next week when Skeletons helmer Nick Whitfield drops in at Sheffield’s Showroom Cinema.

After scooping the prestigious Michael Powell Award for Best New British Feature Film at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival, Nick is now busy promoting the film up and down the country.

He will introduce a screening of Skeletons next Tuesday (3) at 6pm and will stick around afterwards to take questions.

The film tells the story of Davis and Bennett, a pair of mismatched travelling salesmen in the business of cleaning out skeletons from closets.

Bennett plays by the rules but Davis' maverick approach causes friction between the two, especially when their own hidden skeletons begin to emerge.

You can book tickets by visiting the Showroom website at www.showroomworkstation.org.uk and I urge anyone who loves independent cinema or British film to get down there and show their support.
