TWO mums from Rotherham began the new year by celebrating the birth of new members of their families.
Amy Nadolny (32) welcomed daughter Hope Victoria, weighing 7lbs 3ozs, on New Year’s Day.
She said she and husband Richard (32) had chosen the name Hope as they had been trying for a baby “for a long time”.
Hope, who arrived four days early, was a welcome addition to the family, Amy said, adding: “It was quite a nice start to the new year.
“Luckily, we didn’t have any plans for New Year’s Day.”
Chloe Middleton (28), of Swallownest, had a baby boy, who she named Romi, weighing 7lbs 6oz.
She and her partner Scott (31) had spent the Christmas period eagerly anticipating the birth of their son as he had been due on December 28.
On their choice of name, Chloe said: “I’d just seen it on social media and thought it was a really nice name.”
