CCTV released after woman (20) sexually assaulted
Detectives would like to speak this man in connection with the incident

DETECTIVES investigating a sex assault near Rotherham town centre have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

A 20-year-old woman was walking towards St Ann’s Road when when she was approached by a man at around 8.35pm on Sunday, May 21.

The man started speaking to her and after walking a short distance together, he then sexually assaulted the woman before she ran from the area.

Since the incident was reported, officers have carried out numerous enquiries including house-to-house and extensive CCTV analysis.

Detectives said they believe it was an “isolated incident” and have increased patrols in the area for the reassurance of the community.

Investigating officers are now asking for your help to identify the man pictured, who may hold important information about what happened.
