CCTV released after armed robbery

DETECTIVES investigating an armed robbery have released CCTV images of the incident.

A man reportedly entered Brampton Local on Knollbeck Avenue, Brampton Bierlow, on January 5 at around 8.10pm, carrying a knife, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

He threatened members of staff and asked them to open the till, before leaving with an amount of cash.

Police said enquiries were continuing.

Anyone who can help with the investigation should call 101 quoting incident number 870 of January 5.
