CCTV images released following Kimberworth knife-point robbery

DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify following a knife-point robbery at a petrol station in Kimberworth.

The robber entered the Texaco petrol station on Wortley Road at 5.30am on Thursday, May 23, and purchased a can of pop.

"The man left but returned a short while later and approached the counter where he is said to have grabbed the lone attendant and threatened him with a large knife", said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

"He demanded cash and made off with £110 on foot towards the Superbowl on Wortley Road."

The victim was left uninjured, but shaken up by the incident. 

Police believe the man pictured could be able to assist with their inquiry. Do you recognise him? Were you in the area at the time?
