CCTV image of knife-wielding Maltby armed robber

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a masked armed robber who threatened staff with a knife before making off with money.

The armed robbery happened last Monday at around 4.30pm at the Best One shop in High Street, Maltby.

The armed robber (pictured) entered the shop dressed in dark clothing, with his face covered, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

“The man threatened staff with a knife, demanding cash,” she said.

“The suspect then left the shop with the cash in a carrier bag.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101, quoting incident number 585 of November 19.
