CCTV footage released after jewellery fraud in Mexborough

CCTV footage has been shared in a bid to trace two men in connection with a reported £7,000 jewellery fraud in Mexborough.

Police said they were investigating an incident at a jewellery store in Mexborough High Street at 11am on Tuesday.

Two men believed to be from Eastern Europe, agreed a price of £7,000 for the sale of a genuine gold necklace. but it was found a switch had taken place and a different necklace had been handed over.

Police would like to trace the two men in the footage and question them in connection with the incident. One is described as being around 6ft tall and one around 5ft 6ins.
