CCTV appeal after Thorpe Hesley pub assault

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a pub attack in which a man’s nose and jaw were broken.

The 27-year-old male victim had tried to stop a disturbance at the Ball Inn at Thorpe Hesley at about 10,30pm on April 23, the force said.

He was punched in the head and knocked out — falling to the floor and suffering fractures to his nose and jaw which required surgery.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Extensive enquiries have been undertaken to trace those involved, but police are now asking for your help.

“Police now want to speak to the man in the CCTV image as he may be able to help with enquiries.

“If you think you know who he is, please call 101 quoting incident number 677 of April 24.”
