Cat is 'feline fine' after airing cupboard ordeal

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a cat that became stuck in an airing cupboard wall at a home in Sunnyside last night (Thursday).

A crew from Maltby station was called to Penwood Walk at 7.55pm and spent 25 minutes rescuing the puss, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

"The cat was trapped in the wall area of an airing cupboard at a property on Penwood Walk, Sunnyside," said the spokesperson.

"Firefighters were able to rescue the cat safely who was none the worse for its ordeal."
