Cash point smashed from wall in Harthill

Police were called to reports if a “loud smash” at the McColl’s shop on Union Street, Harthill, at 12.50am today (Tuesday).

Officers were guarding the machine this morning while colleagues investigated the raid.

Windows and shutters were also badly damaged by the burglars.

A police spokeswoman said the incident was being treated as a “suspected ram-raid”.
