Cars torched in Thrybergh and Sprotbrough

ARSONISTS torched cars in Thrybergh and Sprotbrough in the early hours of the morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to Vale Road, Thrybergh, at 1.15am where a Ford Fiesta was on fire, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The crew left the scene at 1.45am.

Firefighters from Edlington station were called to Spring Lane, Sprotbrough, at 1.15am where a Subaru Forester had been set alight.

They spent just over an hour tackling the blaze.

Both fires were started deliberately, said the spokeswoman.
