Cars torched in Rawmarsh and Wombwell

CARS were set on fire in both Rawmarsh and Wombwell over the weekend.

A crew from Dearne station were called to a Peugeot 407 ablaze on Hague Avenue, Rawmarsh, at 9pm last night (Sunday).

They left the scene at 10.05pm, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

A Vauxhall Astra was torched at 3.30am this morning (Monday) on Everill Gate Lane in Wombwell.

A crew from Dearne station were called out to the scene and left at 3.50am. 

The cause of both fires was deliberate, added the spokeswoman.
