Cars torched in early morning arson attack

CARS were destroyed in an arson attack in Rotherham in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Elm Lane and Parkway stations were called to a deliberate fire involving several cars on Hope Street, Thornhill, at 3.35am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The crews left the scene at 5.30am.
