Cars set on fire in Rotherham, Kimberworth and Goldthorpe

ARSONISTS set fire to three cars in different areas across the borough over the weekend. 

A crew from Dearne station attended the first incident on Saturday at 5.30pm on Lockwood Road, Goldthorpe. 

"A Fiat Punto was deliberately set on fire and our crew left the scene after 20 minutes," said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

The other arson attacks happened in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

Dearne station attended Wath Road, Bolton-on-Dearne, at 12.20am and left the scene at 1am. The make and model of the car was not known.  

A crew from Rotherham station found a Mini Cooper ablaze on Upper Wortley Road, Kimbeworth, at 2.30am and were at the scene for nearly an hour.
