Cars and farmland torched by arsonists

FOUR arson attacks were carried out across the borough over the weekend.

This morning (Monday) a Ford Fiesta parked on Coach Road, Greasbrough, was set on fire at 12.40am.

A crew from Rotherham station left the scene at 1.15am.

On Sunday, six bales of hay in a field on Elton Lane, Sunnyside, were torched at 9pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham station left the scene at 10.30pm.

A Peugeot car parked on Old Colliery Way, Swallownest, was deliberately set on fire at 11.15pm on Saturday night (5).

Aston station was at the scene for 30 minutes.

Arsonists also started a fire in a corn field on Flanderwell Lane, Sunnyside, at 1.25pm on Sunday.

Crews from Maltby and Rotherham station left the scene at 3pm.
